Background

Carlie Brandt is a leadership consultant and project specialist at Premier Sport Psychology. Her work includes managing the day-to-day operations of Premier’s “Leadership U” program at the University of Minnesota and assisting with additional leadership development projects and workshops.

Carlie joins Premier Sport Psychology after a successful career as a student, athlete, and intern and coordinator at the University of Minnesota, where she was a five-year letterwinner and Big Ten’s Outstanding Sportsmanship recipient on the softball team. During her time as a Gopher, Carlie earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Sport Management. After graduation, she furthered her passion for Gopher Athletics and leadership by landing a competitive position as an intern for Leadership U, a program facilitating student-athlete development at the University of Minnesota. In addition to her internship role with Leadership U, she supported the Gopher Athletics Internship Program by obtaining the Internship Coordinator position, where she served as the point of contact for the internship cohort and organized and communicated professional development opportunities. In 2022, Carlie transitioned to Premier Sport Psychology, continuing her work in supporting student-athlete populations through supporting and creating leadership development and emotional intelligence programming.

A multi-sport athlete throughout her childhood (softball, tennis, and basketball) and Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year, Carlie became a member of Leadership Council while earning three Big Ten Championships with the Gopher Softball Team, and the first ever trip to the Women’s College World Series in 2019. Since her collegiate career came to an end, Carlie has enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family.
