Hana believes mental skills should become part of every athlete’s daily training. She works collaboratively with athletes to develop individualized strategies that improve confidence, focus, and consistency while supporting continued personal growth.
Her goal is to create practical solutions athletes can immediately apply during competition.

Hana DeGuzman, M.Ed, is a mental performance consultant specializing in athletics and mental performance for all athletes and performers. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Puget Sound in Exercise Science, as well as a minor in Education Studies. Her athletic experience guided her to pursue and complete her Master’s Degree from Boston University in Counseling and Sport Psychology. Hana has experience working with various sports teams and athletes at all levels prior to joining Premier: she created and facilitated mental skills programming for youth sports teams; she worked in Harvard University’s Counseling Center to offer accessible mental health and sport psychology services for student-athletes; and she furthered her experience at the professional sports level facilitating team and individual sessions. Hana’s experiences have given her insight into how she approaches athletes and performers. She sees her clients as people first, and strives to create a safe space to learn and grow, while also bringing authenticity, humor, and genuine passion to maximize potential in all domains of life.
She is from San Jose, CA, but has had the privilege to live in many states, and call several places “home”. Hana is an athlete herself, and played collegiate softball at the University of Puget Sound. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, playing pickleball, hanging out at the beach, and spending time with her family and her dog, Emmy.
Hana enjoys presenting on confidence, focus, resilience, mental performance, and helping young athletes develop healthy competitive mindsets.
