Kaity Weimerskirch has worked at Premier Sport Psychology since March 2023, starting as a youth sport intern and intake specialist. Kaity completed her clinical counseling practicum at Premier, and was hired as a provider in July 2026. Kaity provides mental health counseling and performance coaching to individuals, and is supervised by both Alexandra Wulbecker-Smith, MA, LPCC and Dr. Ben Merkling, Psy.D., LP, CMPC as she works towards her clinical hours for becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Kaity serves as an Associate Athletic Counselor at Premier Sport Psychology, where she leads workshops on topics like resilience, team culture, emotional regulation, focus, and motivation. Kaity also works as a Coach for the 18-1s at MN Select Volleyball Club. Kaity brings both professional training and personal experience as a former Division I volleyball player to her work, understanding firsthand the unique pressures athletes face.
Kaity is passionate about helping athletes strengthen both their mental health and mental performance so they can thrive in sport and in life. Kaity is especially interested in working with high school and collegiate athletes navigating challenges such as anxiety, life transitions, confidence, injury recovery, interpersonal conflicts, and overall well-being.
Kaity graduated with her BA in Psychology from Illinois State University in addition to earning her certificate in Human Resources. Kaity also competed for the Division 1 Redbirds volleyball team and was a three-year team captain who helped lead her team to three NCAA tournament appearances. She earned conference honors including MVC Libero of the Year and MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Kaity graduated with her MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas.
Beyond athletics, Kaity contributed to Redbirds for Change, a diversity, equity, and inclusion organization dedicated to advancing social justice advocacy within the athletic community.
Growing up, she was a multi-sport athlete and helped Champlin Park High School secure its first state volleyball title. Outside of work, Kaity enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, exploring local coffee shops and restaurants, and coaching the next generation of athletes.
