We understand that recommending an athlete visit a mental health professional of any kind can be a delicate process. For these reasons, it can be useful to have an understanding of how the referral process works, and some effective steps for beginning this process with your athlete(s).

Working in Sport Psychology

Sport psychologists have diverse roles depending on their setting. At Premier Sport Psychology, we work across private practice, athletic departments, national team training centers, and professional team facilities.

CMPC Mentorship

Premier Sport Psychology offers mentorship for the CMPC certification by our providers, who are AASP-Approved mentors. The purpose of this working relationship is to enhance the professional education and development of the mentee in the discipline of applied sport psychology.

ADHD AND ATHLETICS

Premier Sport Psychology provides athletes and non-athletes aged 14 and above with comprehensive testing to determine whether a diagnosis of ADHD is warranted.  We also diagnose or rule out other mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression that may be contributing to attention problems.
