More Than Mechanics

Quarterbacks spend countless hours developing their footwork, throwing mechanics, physical strength, and understanding of an offense. But when the game is on the line, execution also depends on what happens mentally.

This isn’t a replacement for quarterback coaching. It’s adding a critical piece that maximizes all the skills they’ve developed and perform at their best when it matters most. When the brain is off, the body will follow.

The Premier QB Program develops the internal skills quarterbacks need to:

  • 01Respond after mistakes and turnovers
  • 02Lead teammates through adversity
  • 03Communicate confidently with coaches and teammates
  • 04Manage pressure, expectations, and recruiting attention
  • 05Maintain focus in high-stakes moments
  • 06Build repeatable routines for confident performance

Built for the Reality of a Quarterback’s Season

The national virtual cohort begins with structured onboarding and assessments, followed by weekly mental performance sessions throughout the season, and then monthly connection points during the offseason, which can include individual development plans and personalized sport psychology sessions.

01 Onboarding

Onboarding begins with a comprehensive high-performance mental game assessment that will gauge current level mental skills (comparable to high school, collegiate, and professional athletes), and identify several key personal attributes that can provide more stable confidence and resilience in the face of adversity.

02 In-Season

Weekly cohort sessions focused on applying mental performance skills to the situations each quarterback is experiencing in real time.

03 Post-Season

Structured reflection, recovery, offseason transition, and a personalized development plan to accelerate development and prepare for the upcoming season.

A Mental Performance Framework Quarterbacks Can Actually Use

The Premier QB Program is built around Intentional Attention — a framework outlined in the book (Intentional Attention) by Justin Anderson, who is a former collegiate quarterback and founder of Premier Sport Psychology — which outlines a highly practical system that has helped quarterbacks at all levels optimize their mental game and respond to the pressures of this unique position.

Intentional Attention Framework

  • 01

    Awareness

Recognize the thoughts, emotions, habits, and stress responses affecting performance.

  • 02

    Intention

Determine where attention needs to go and choose the response that supports the moment.

  • 03

    Execution

Apply practical focus tools, reset routines, confident behaviors, and controllable actions.

  • 04

    Reflection

Learn from performances without becoming defined by the outcome.

  • 05

    Renewal

Recover mentally and physically while preparing for the next opportunity.

Confidence Isn’t Something You Hope For—It’s Something You Build.

Confidence isn’t created by positive thinking. It’s built through repeatable behaviors, intentional preparation, and focusing on what you can control.

Throughout the program, quarterbacks learn to:

  • Identify their confident behaviors
  • Focus on the controllables that drive performance
  • Build routines that create consistency under pressure
  • Develop a foundation of confidence they can rely on throughout the season

Why the Cohort Model Works

A Small National Group

No more than 10 quarterbacks, creating meaningful interaction and individualized attention.

Weekly Development

Mental performance is a skill built through repetition—not a one-day clinic.

Real Quarterback Conversations

Participants learn from athletes navigating the same pressures, responsibilities, setbacks, and expectations.

Support Throughout the Season

Weekly sessions provide accountability, practical tools, and a place to process what happens each week on and off the field.

Built on Proven Mental Performance Principles

For more than 15 years, Premier Sport Psychology has helped elite performers strengthen the mental side of performance across professional sports, collegiate athletics, Olympic competition, and leadership.

The Premier QB Program brings those same proven principles to the next generation of quarterbacks in a format designed specifically for the unique demands of the position.

What NFL Quarterbacks Are Saying About the Intentional Attention Framework

In the NFL, small lapses in focus can make a big difference. The work around Intentional Attention gave me a clear and reliable approach to stay more locked into what matters. This book breaks that down in a way people can actually apply.

— Daniel Jones

Playing quarterback, you learn quickly - pressure exposes where your attention goes. This book shows how to train it.

— Sam Darnold

The mental side of the NFL game decides wins and losses, especially being a quarterback. The work Justin and I have done around my mental approach and my attention has helped me navigate pressure, stay consistent, and keep improving each year. This book puts that skill into something others can apply.

The Premier QB Program is built on the principles introduced in Intentional Attention by Dr. Justin Anderson.

Participants learn how attention shapes performance—and how directing attention intentionally leads to better decisions, greater resilience, stronger leadership, and more consistent execution under pressure.
